Position Summary
The Surgical Technician at Barrett Hospital & HealthCare is responsible for providing patient care, preparing equipment, instruments, and supplies during surgery, and protecting the sterile area. This role requires a clear understanding of the surgical procedure and proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record documentation.
Schedule
Full-Time, M-F 5x8s DAYS - on call once every 3 weeks
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program recognized by CAAHEP, ABHES
- Certification from NBSTA [preferred]
- Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record documentation preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
