Position Summary

The Coordinator assists in coordinating day-to-day activities in the assigned Service Line. They take a leading role in orienting new staff, performance improvement, scheduling, and working with physicians for improved outcomes. They also ensure effective communication with physicians, circulating nurses, surgical technicians, ancillary staff, and patients to maintain an environment conducive to patient well-being.

Requirements

  • Good Organizational Skills
  • Acute Care Experience
  • BLS Certification from American Heart Association
  • Computer knowledge
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Tech Program
  • Completion of a medical terminology class or knowledge of medical terms
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the assigned Service Line

Skills
