Surgical Tech Extern - PRN

About the role

Candidate graduates in 6 to 8 months
The Surgical Technologist Extern delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services to support the efficient operation of the surgical suite.

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgical staff in the perioperative process in accordance with the Surgical Technologist Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the Department
• Consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an approved school of surgical technology
• Can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Preferred: Currently enrolled in an approved Surgical Technologist program
• Required: Basic Cardiac Life Support
