Surgical Tech, Endoscopy Lab, Full Time, First Shift

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday with on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs preparation of the operating room and assists the physician during surgery.
• Assists with patient care in accordance with the medical plan of care established by SMG, SRH, and Nursing policies, procedures/protocols, and standards of care.
• Provides direct assistant care and wound closure as directed by the physician.
• Coordinates and delegates care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel.
• Assists with patient care during and after surgery as directed by the physician.
• Functions in a supportive role to communicate patient needs and resolve work-related issues.
• Serves as a highly engaged team member and patient advocate in the OR or office setting.
• Performs any other assigned duties as directed by surgeons, practice manager, and department director.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technicians.
• Holds and maintains current licensure.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise, leadership, and organizational ability.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
• Self-motivated and a strong team player.
