Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN, assisting the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Pass items to surgeons and nurses as needed during surgical cases.
- Assist in preparing and moving patients.
- Sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills required.
- One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
- Experience in a specialty field preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required.
Physical Requirements
Medium Work – Exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.
Schedule
- 10-hour shifts, 06:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days a week.
- On-call requirements: One (1) evening call shift (5:00 PM – 6:00 AM) per week.
- One (1) weekend on-call shift (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) per month.

Holy Cross Hospital Mountain Point is a 40-bed full-service hospital serving northern Utah County. Located in Lehi, it is easily accessible from I-15 and SR-92, just east of Thanksgiving Point. The hospital is a leader in advanced surgical technologies, a Level III trauma center, and a stroke receiving facility. The team is committed to delivering exceptional care in a friendly, community-focused environment.
Pay
$26.37 – $39.90 per hour.
