Description Veracity Staffing Solutions is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologists to join our healthcare team. We have multiple openings for surgical technician positions, including full-time, part-time, and on-call roles in various healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about ensuring safe and efficient surgical procedures while working alongside experienced surgeons and medical teams.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in surgical technology from an accredited program
• Certification as a Certified Surgery Technologist (CST) required
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and aseptic procedures
• Physical ability to lift 23 kg and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adaptability in high-pressure environments

Responsibilities

• Before Surgery:
• Sterilize the operating room, surgical tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and sterile environment
• Prepare patients for surgery, including disinfecting incision sites
• Gather and arrange surgical instruments, sponges, and other supplies
• During Surgery:
• Assist the surgeon by passing instruments and holding retractors as needed
• Maintain a sterile field to prevent infections and complications
• Monitor blood and fluid loss, ensuring all instruments and materials are accounted for
• After Surgery:
• Close surgical wounds and apply dressings
• Transfer patients to recovery areas, ensuring their safety and comfort
• Perform post-operative instrument and supply counts to maintain surgical accuracy
