Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures.
• Responsible for aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases.
• Responsible for scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Responsible for pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure.
• Sets up operating room and supplies needed for day/following day’s schedule.
• Available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need.
• Will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of surgical technician program as required by state regulation of practice or policy.
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS, Surgical Technology Certification.
• Experience: 1 year experience as a surgical technician.

About the Role

The role involves setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies, scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment, pulling cases, and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure. Additionally, the role requires setting up the operating room and supplies needed for the day/following day's schedule, and being available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need.

Requirements

Required: Education: Graduate of surgical technician program as required by state regulation of practice or policy. License/Certification: BLS.

PREFERRED: Experience: 1 year experience as a surgical technician. License/Certification: Surgical Technology Certification.

$23.47 - $35.21 hourly
