Surgical Tech Adjunct Instructor

Job Responsibilities

Assist and monitor students in clinical and/or lab experiences.

Coincide with the established syllabi to coordinate and assist with clinical courses.

Assess students based on their affective, cognitive, and psychomotor skills, as well as surgical technology.

Collaborate with clinical preceptors to ensure accurate and timely submission of evaluations.

Maintain safe practices for surgical technology students.

Evaluate and monitor student performance.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Associate degree required.
• Graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
• Possess a CST credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
• Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
