Responsibilities
- Oversee, escort and direct customers to the appropriate source for assistance.
- Provide a safe environment for patients and their families through producing quality outcomes.
- Assist Supervisor with daily staffing.
- Monitor and document quality outcomes.
- Oversee and complete patient tracking through electronic software tools.
- Cook up and maintain Uniform Room activities such as locker assignments and scrubs for all operating room personnel.
- Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
- Comply with special cleaning requests for radioactive waste and infection control surgical cases.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within new hire period
- One year of customer service experience and experience working in a team environment
- One year of Surgical Services Support Tech I experience or two years of experience as a Lead following through with projects and managing staffing
- Requires a full range of body motion including ability to lift and/or bear the weight of 100 pounds with assistance, or more while pulling, lifting, pushing and transferring patients to and from various apparatus
- Exposure to body fluids
- Must be available for flexible scheduling according to the needs of the surgical area
- Floating may be expected per assignment policies within the surgical support department
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Requires a full range of body motion including ability to lift and/or bear the weight of 100 pounds with assistance, or more while pulling, lifting, pushing and transferring patients to and from various apparatus; regularly pushes moderate to heavy weight of 100 pounds or more.
- Exposure to body fluids.
- Must be available for flexible scheduling according to the needs of the surgical area.
- Floating may be expected per assignment policies within the surgical support department.
