Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital and experience world-class healthcare at its best. As a Surgical Services Support Technician in the OR, you will provide stellar care while interacting with patients and performing various technical support tasks.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to designated areas per nursing requests.
- Assist nursing caregivers during surgical cases as requested.
- Maintain and control support services equipment and supplies.
- Maintain the OR in an aesthetically safe and sanitary condition.
- Escort and direct customers to the appropriate source for assistance.
- Provide a safe environment for patients and their families.
- Comply with entering job tasks in electronic computer software programs.
- Assist nursing service with prepping and shaving patients for surgery.
- Carefully coordinate and maintain Uniform Room activities such as locker assignments and scrubs for all O.R. personnel.
- Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
- Comply with special cleaning requests for radioactive waste and infection control surgical cases.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or obtain within the new hire period
- One year of customer service experience
- Experience working in a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Full range of body motion to lift and/or bear the weight of 100 pounds with assistance or more while pulling, lifting, pushing and transferring patients to and from various apparatus
- Pushing moderate to heavy weights of 100 pounds or more
- Exposure to body fluids
- Availability for flexible scheduling according to the needs of the surgical area
- Potential floating within the surgical support department

Pay
Minimum hourly: $18.50 Maximum hourly: $25.20
