About the role

As a Director of Surgical Services (RN), you will lead the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives for Pre-OP, PACU, OR, Cath Lab and IVT. You will develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives for Pre-OP, PACU, OR, Cath Lab and IVT.
  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Captures and coordinates internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Requirements

  • A current state RN license.
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS required.
  • ACLS, PALS preferred.
  • BSN required.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in surgical services administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $XX,XXX - $XXXX per year, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position is available on a M-F, Days schedule from 8am-4pm.
