Surgical Services/CVOR Tech

Location: 2950 Cleveland Clinic Blvd, Weston

About the role

13-week contract position in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). Shift is 3×12 hours (11:00–23:30) with cardiac call. When no cardiac cases are scheduled, the clinician will assist with other surgical cases.

Cardiac call is required; call volume varies (minimum ~6 shifts per month, up to 10 if short-staffed). Weekend call shifts are 24 hours in duration.

Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs and may also float to sister facilities.

Guaranteed hours: 36 hrs for 3×12 shifts, 40 hrs for 8/10 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in Cardiac OR procedures.
• Take cardiac call as assigned (minimum ~6 shifts/month).
• Assist with vascular and other surgical cases when no CVOR cases are scheduled.
• Complete time-sensitive online modules immediately upon assignment confirmation.
• Float to other units or sister facilities as needed within scope of practice.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of surgical tech experience; 2 years strongly preferred.
• Strong vascular and CVOR experience required.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred but not required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must be nicotine-free (negative 10-panel nicotine/cotinine test required).
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; no RTO added after submission will be reviewed.

Schedule

• Day shift: 11:00–23:30, 3×12 hours per week.
• Cardiac call shifts vary (minimum ~6 per month).
• Weekend requirements discussed during interview.
• Block scheduling not accommodated.
