Scope of work
Under general supervision of the registered nurse is responsible for performing various tasks to facilitate efficient and smooth management of surgical/endoscopic patients and procedures in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Transports patients
- Prepares patients for procedures
- Inventories and orders supplies per established unit levels
- Turns over the OR room
- Wipes all equipment down in the OR room
- Mops the floors
- Brings in equipment for the following case
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of a minimum of one to three months of on-the-job training to become familiar with equipment and processes, to provide a safe environment for patients to prevent injury or delay in discharge required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
