Surgical Services Ancillary Staff Supervisor - FT - Days - MRH

Responsibilities

• Ensures adherence to procedure, including but not limited to following standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staff assignments who are responsible for cleaning Operating Room (OR), surgical suites and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs.
• Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.
• Transfers patients from Nursing Units to OR and from PACU to the Nursing Units/Discharge.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
• Led the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching and mentoring to staff.
• Aids with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Supervises the procurement, maintenance and moving of equipment and supplies in surgical suites.

Requirements

• Three (3) plus years of experience in Surgical Services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD).
• BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD).
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA).
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC).
