Surgical Scheduler - Foot and Ankle Medicine - Full Time - Foundation Medical Partners

About the role

Responsible for coordinating/scheduling patients for surgery. This will include coordinating with patients for all of their pre and post-operative care visits. You will be communicating with hospital departments, Surgical vendor reps and our internal insurance pre-certification teams. You will be working closely with all Podiatry Providers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with hospital departments to schedule testing for Inpatient and Emergency Room patients.
• Schedule patients for follow-up visits and patient procedures.
• Respond to all inquiries from patients concerning preparation for procedures and expected follow-up.
• Responsible for scheduling patients for appointments at outside entities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Patient Service Representative experience required.
• Experience in a healthcare environment required.
• Knowledge of reception tasks, clinic policies/procedures, and paperwork.
• Epic or EMR experience is a plus!
