Surgical Reprocessing Tech- Full Time- Midnight Shift (10p-6:30a)

General Summary

Under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/Director, the Surgical Reprocessing Tech cleans, inspects, assembles, packages, disinfects, and sterilizes all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical teams in various departments. The tech documents and monitors all sterilization processes, ensuring compliance with standards. They also supply the needs of departments by meeting and anticipating instrument requirements for case carts and prepare case carts according to surgeons' preferences.

Education/Experience Required

- High School graduate or equivalent. - Completion of a medical terminology course is preferred. - Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and hospital personnel. - Computer skills. - Successfully completes department and hospital orientation process. - Competence maintained during evaluation year to include department standards, objectives, in-service, and continuing education.

Certifications/Licenses Required

- Central Service Certification. - BCLS preferred.
