About the role
Maintains cost effective inventory and arranges supplies and implants for surgical procedures. Monitors and posts surgical bills. Manages inventory and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintains cost effective inventory control of implants and supplies.
- Completes requisitions and ensures proper approval processes.
- Monitors stock utilization and returns unused items.
- Reviews OR schedules and ensures availability of supplies.
- Ensures compliance with vendor status and receives loaner equipment.
- Monitors and audits bills for accuracy and validity.
- Acts as liaison between departments and financial services.
- Investigates and obtains special implants and equipment.
- Monitors regulatory compliance and completes receiving documentation.
- Prepares and participates in physical inventory and maintains templates.
- Manages budget and cost by case, and justifies budget variances.
- Participates in Value Analysis Committee.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited one-year surgical technician program or equivalent college courses.
- At least two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist or Patient Billing utilizing automated information systems.
- Knowledge of material management information systems and operating room procedures.
- Computer skills including familiarity with Windows-based operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze data and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited one-year surgical technician program OR 1 year of related college courses or AA degree in Business preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: N/A
Skills
- Knowledge of material management information systems.
- Understanding of operating room procedures.
- Computer skills including familiarity with Windows-based operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Data analysis to interpret bill of goods, budget variances, trending reports and patient billing.
- Ability to understand interfaces between computerized data collection for procurement, patient scheduling and accounting.
- Able to accurately maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.

Pay
Pay Range: $21.91 - $37.08
Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
