Responsibilities
- Surgical Assisting
- Wound care
- Clinic/vitals
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Arrange/schedule outside testing and referrals
- Chart documentation
- Absorb and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Physiological studies
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments – knowledge of sterilization procedures and protocols
- Clinical decision making
- Phone triage
Skills
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- NextGen, Centricity, FIVOS(Medstreaming)/EMR knowledge
- Being bilingual is a HUGE plus
Qualifications
- 1 year of Back Office Medical Assistant experience
- Medical Assistance Certification is preferred but not required
