Surgical ICU Intensivist

Department Job Description Summary

The Surgical ICU Intensivist position at Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach, Florida, involves staffing the 40-bed surgical ICU 24/7 with an Intensivist. The physician will work approximately 12-14, 12-hour shifts per month, rotating between consecutive day and night shifts. Responsibilities include being the SICU Attending responsible for Critical Care in-house response, initial evaluations of new admissions to the unit, and collaborating with primary attending or surgeons. There is also an opportunity to be involved in the general surgery call pool.

Qualifications

• BE/BC in critical care with excellent clinical training
• BE/BC in general surgery
• Advanced training in critical care preferred
• Strong interest in clinical research and medical education encouraged
