About the role

Responsibilities

• Lead as First Assist
• Serve as the primary surgical first assist, providing critical hands-on support throughout procedures.
• Set the Stage
• Pre-Op: Confirm cases, meet patients, walk them through procedures, gather documentation, and coordinate closely with OR staff.
• Deliver in the OR: Support patient positioning, maintain a sterile field, anticipate the surgeon's next move, and work in sync with the surgical team.
• Follow Through: Post-Op: Assist with patient transfer, deliver thorough PACU handoffs, and complete documentation with precision.

Requirements

• Experience:
• At least 2 years of surgical assisting experience
• Hands-on experience assisting in Robotics, Spine, and Plastics
• Spine experience is a plus
• Education & Credentials:
• Strong technical skills in the operating room
• Graduate of an Accredited program - PA/NP/CSFA

Qualifications

• Ability to acquire VA/MD state license
