About the role
MPOWERHealth is a health services organization that partners directly with hospitals, health systems, and surgeons to deliver exceptional patient care by providing Intraoperative Neuromonitoring and Surgical First Assist services. Responsibilities
- Lead as First Assist
- Serve as the primary surgical first assist, providing critical hands-on support throughout procedures.
- Set the Stage
- Pre-Op - Confirm cases, meet patients, walk them through procedures, gather documentation, and coordinate closely with OR staff.
- Deliver in the OR
- Support patient positioning, maintain a sterile field, anticipate the surgeon's next move, and work in sync with the surgical team.
- Follow Through
- Post-Op - Assist with patient transfer, deliver thorough PACU handoffs, and complete documentation with precision.
- Contribute to clinical and operational initiatives
- Education, training, and process improvement.

Requirements
- Experience
- At least 2 years of surgical assisting experience
- Hands-on experience assisting in Ortho, Spine, General, GYN, and Robotics
- Spine experience is a plus
- Education & Credentials
- Strong technical skills in the operating room
- Graduate of an Accredited program- PA/NP/CSFA
- Able to acquire MN state license

- Constant seeing, hearing, and speaking
- Frequent lifting up to 20+ lbs., plus bending, reaching, standing, walking, and kneeling
