About the role
The Surgical Environmental Services Team Member role is responsible for supporting the surgical team through various activities including environmental services, materials acquisition, patient and equipment transport, decontamination of surgical instruments, restocking linens and supplies, and ensuring working oxygen tanks are available.
Responsibilities
- Carry out environmental services and materials acquisition tasks
- Transport patients, equipment, and specimens
- Decontaminate surgical instruments
- Restock linens, cleaning supplies, and scrubs
- Ensure working oxygen tanks are available on stretchers/beds
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Six months of experience in an acute care setting performing environmental and materials responsibilities
