Summary
Captures all aspects of surgery scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff, and equipment.
- Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
- Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- No prior experience required.
