About the Opportunity
As a Surgical Coordinator, you'll guide patients through every step of their surgical journey.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling surgeries and managing changes
- Educating patients on procedures and pre-op instructions
- Collecting and documenting patient and insurance information
- Coordinating medical clearances
- Performing IOL measurements and clinical testing
- Maintaining accurate EMR documentation
- Collecting patient payments
- Supporting physicians and delivering an outstanding patient experience
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ophthalmology or ocular pharmacology knowledge is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
This role requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
