Surgical Charge Specialist

About the Role

Responsible for the collection, preparation, and analysis of accurate financial records using established policies and procedures to properly reflect Surgery's operating results and financial position.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate financial records using available information to properly state the financial position of the Surgery departments.
• Using appropriate source data, prepare and/or audit reconciliations to ensure accurate records, and review and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate computer proficiency with all System financial information systems including core transaction systems, decision support system, data warehouse, and PC Financial Application tools to complete internal and external work products.
• Complete assigned goals.

Requirements

• 1-2 years' experience in a healthcare surgical setting and/or finance/billing knowledge.
• High School Diploma (minimum required).

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in a healthcare surgical setting.
• Associate degree (preferred).
• Clinical knowledge of basic surgical procedures and supply usage (preferred).

Skills

• Proficiency with financial information systems (core transaction systems, decision support system, data warehouse, PC Financial Application tools).
