Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
• Escort each patient to the operatory in a timely manner
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment
• Auxiliary in preparing patients for surgery and help monitor vital signs and anesthesia levels
• Confirm with medical history with patient and make any necessary changes needed
• Confirm the patient is aware of and educated on the treatment being performed
• Auxiliary in passing instruments, suctioning, and providing any necessary materials during surgery
• Accurately document patient information and surgical details into the patient’s electronic health record (EHR)
• Auxiliary in post-operative care instructions and ensure proper follow-up
• Stock all operatories and designated sterilization area(s)

Requirements

• Maintain certification and/or license renewals as required by the state
• Excel in forward thinking to anticipate the needs of the patient and our dental team
• May be required to travel between office locations. Must be insurable by the company’s insurance
• CPR Certified
• Dexterity and manual skills required for handling surgical instruments and assisting with procedures

Pay

$16-17 per hour
