About the Role
The Surgical Assistant supports the oral surgeon during procedures by ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient preparation and monitor vital signs and anesthesia
- Educate patients about treatments and provide post-operative instructions
- Pass instruments, suction, and provide materials during surgeries
- Document patient information accurately
- Take diagnostic X-rays
- Stock operatories and maintain sterilization equipment
- Support daily operational needs
- Anticipate team needs and uphold professional standards
- Contribute to a positive patient and team environment
Requirements
- Current state-required licenses
- CPR certification
- Strong manual dexterity
- Professional appearance
- Excellent communication skills
