About the Role

The Surgical Assistant supports the oral surgeon during procedures by ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist with patient preparation and monitor vital signs and anesthesia
• Educate patients about treatments and provide post-operative instructions
• Pass instruments, suction, and provide materials during surgeries
• Document patient information accurately
• Take diagnostic X-rays
• Stock operatories and maintain sterilization equipment
• Support daily operational needs
• Anticipate team needs and uphold professional standards
• Contribute to a positive patient and team environment

Requirements

• Current state-required licenses
• CPR certification
• Strong manual dexterity
• Professional appearance
