Surgical Access Coordinator 2, BHMG- Ortho Coral Gables, FT, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates all aspects of patient surgeries for high volume physician practice.
• Creates and submits surgical encounters in Soarian for billing.
• Obtains and verifies all patient demographics and insurance information.
• Obtains authorization for surgery and works directly with surgeons to ensure procedure and diagnosis codes are accurate for billing.
• Works closely with supporting departments to ensure surgeries are scheduled and coded properly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Healthcare experience required. Surgery experience preferred.
• Professional, detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
• Highly organized and able to multi-task.
• Effective communicator with surgeons, patients, operational and clinical leadership, as well as facility and BHSF support departments.
• Proficient in EMR, computer applications and scheduling systems (Cerner, Soarian, etc.).
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Estimated pay range for this position is $18.87 - $23.96 / hour depending on experience.
