About the role
This 0.1 FTE leadership role is designed to complement your clinical responsibilities while providing strategic oversight and operational guidance across the specialty area.
Responsibilities
- Supports and assists the Trauma Medical Director with defining and implementing regional care standards, including clinical guidelines, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives that support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provides oversight of the clinical care delivery team and ensures consistent, high-quality care across the region.
- Collaborates with administrative leaders to establish and execute the strategic vision, goals, and objectives for the clinical program.
- Maintains monitoring and guiding of regional financial performance to meet budgeted targets and support sustainable growth.
- Facilitates bi-directional communication between frontline teams, regional leadership, and system-level stakeholders.
- Promotes alignment of care delivery models and best practices across the broader SSM Health system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Board-certified physician with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of clinical operations, quality improvement, and healthcare finance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
- Three years' experience as a practicing physician within SSM with previous clinical leadership desired.
