About the role

This 0.1 FTE leadership role is designed to complement your clinical responsibilities while providing strategic oversight and operational guidance across the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists the Trauma Medical Director with defining and implementing regional care standards, including clinical guidelines, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives that support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Provides oversight of the clinical care delivery team and ensures consistent, high-quality care across the region.
• Collaborates with administrative leaders to establish and execute the strategic vision, goals, and objectives for the clinical program.
• Maintains monitoring and guiding of regional financial performance to meet budgeted targets and support sustainable growth.
• Facilitates bi-directional communication between frontline teams, regional leadership, and system-level stakeholders.
• Promotes alignment of care delivery models and best practices across the broader SSM Health system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of clinical operations, quality improvement, and healthcare finance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
• Three years' experience as a practicing physician within SSM with previous clinical leadership desired.
