Surgery - Thoracic Physician

About the role

The position details include an elective thoracic practice requiring the surgeon to be willing to take general surgery call, including emergency and trauma, at a Level Three Trauma Center. The practice utilizes the Intuitive Surgical ION platform and navi bronch, along with three full-time pulmonologists and a lung nodule clinic and coordinator. There is also an experienced oncology center with a partnership to Emory-Winship Cancer Center and availability of cesium mesh. The practice includes three da Vinci Xi robotic surgery units with block time, teaching/co-surgeon console for Xi robotic units, and an experienced general/thoracic surgeon mentor with hundreds of robotic thoracic cases.

Qualifications

BC/BE Thoracic (non-cardiac) Surgeon with experience in minimally invasive treatment options. Must be willing to take general surgery call including emergency and trauma at a Level Three Trauma Center. Experience with the Intuitive Surgical ION platform and navi bronch, and proficiency with three full-time pulmonologists and a lung nodule clinic and coordinator. Experience with an oncology center, including a partnership with Emory-Winship Cancer Center and availability of cesium mesh. Experience with three da Vinci Xi robotic surgery units with block time, teaching/co-surgeon console for Xi robotic units, and an experienced general/thoracic surgeon mentor with hundreds of robotic thoracic cases.
