Surgery Scheduler Coordinator

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgery Scheduler, you will be a critical orchestrator of complex operational logistics, ensuring seamless alignment of resources, personnel, and services. Every day, you will expertly manage intricate scheduling and resource allocation while meticulously entering and maintaining data. You will also produce schedules, and oversee template maintenance.

• Possess exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with scheduling systems.
• Expertly manage intricate scheduling and resource allocation.

• Produce schedules and oversee template maintenance.
• Schedules patient surgeries, including special procedures ordered for the Main Operating Room, Outpatient Surgery Center, and Off-Site Anesthesia cases.
• Maintain knowledge of case duration, including the acuity of the patient as well as the added time for trauma and other possible procedures based on the surgeon performing the case.
• Avoid scheduling conflicts by using information about fellows' and physicians' schedules and special needs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and physicians by understanding and using information about referring physicians and their staff.
• Take necessary steps to avoid errors in conflict scheduling.
• Provide accurate scheduling information for both internal and external customers.

Job Requirements

• Required: High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
• General Studies and Hospital or outpatient scheduling experience, upon hire.
• No prior experience required upon hire.

Pay Range

$17.24 - $24.35 /hour
