Surgery Scheduler

As a Surgery Scheduler, you’ll coordinate surgical appointments so patients, physicians, and partner facilities stay aligned and informed. This role exists to keep surgery plans accurate, timely, and clearly documented while supporting a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgery dates and locations
• Share prep and arrival guidance with patients
• Confirm insurance requirements
• Maintain accurate physician surgery calendars
• Document in NextGen/UroChart
• Ensure needed pre-certifications, prior authorizations, and referrals are in place
• Update calendars as changes come in and adjust plans when cases shift
• Communicate clearly with patients and facilities to reduce inconvenience

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of surgery scheduling experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology; some insurance background
• Preferred: EHR experience and Microsoft Office Suite familiarity

Pay

Competitive pay ranging from $22.00–$27.50 per hour. The range is based on reliable compensation survey data, with individual pay determined by experience, specialized skills, work location, and internal equity.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday daytime hours (no nights, weekends, or holidays)
• Onsite at our Coon Rapids clinic; may require work at other clinic locations based on business needs
