Surgery Center Nurse Director Key Responsibilities & Duties Develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and guidelines aligned with industry standards.Recruit, hire, and onboard nursing team members, including RNs and surgical technologists.Manage nursing operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Oversee patient care, safety, and satisfaction throughout the surgical continuum.Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff to optimize surgical workflows.Ensure compliance with CMS, state licensing, and accreditation standards.Lead quality assurance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.Facilitate orientation and ongoing clinical education for perioperative staff.Act as a liaison between nursing, administration, and medical staff. Surgery Center Nurse Director Job Requirements Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing or related field required.RN licensure in Arizona or eligibility to obtain licensure.Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager.Experience in orthopedic operating room nursing preferred.Strong knowledge of ASC regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements.Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.Proficiency with electronic health records and surgical scheduling systems.Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred.Local residency in the Phoenix metropolitan area is advantageous.
