SURGERY CENTER DIRECTOR

About the role

We are growing and we are looking for an Ambulatory Surgery Center Director to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Create an enthusiastic, positive work environment.
• Understand the needs of team members and provide ongoing coaching and support.
• Oversee and direct the day-to-day operations of the surgery center.
• Foster, develop, and maintain healthy internal relationships with surgery center leadership and team.
• Maximize surgical productivity through efficient systems and effective delegation of duties.
• Oversee patient care activities in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative services.
• Participate in surveys from joint commission, CMS, and other accreditation bodies, and responsible for quarterly and annual documentation as determined by CMS.
• Assess safety concerns and support the team through emergency situations.
• Develop, review, and oversee all policies, procedures, and documentation as needed.
• Maintain and purchase required supplies, controlled drugs, and equipment.
• Assist with budget creation and financial review.
• Participate in annual performance reviews by providing feedback and identifying development needs and opportunities for staff.

Requirements

You have a current and valid nursing license with the state board of nursing within the state of practice.

Previous leadership experience in a clinical or surgical center setting is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience in ambulatory surgery center management.
