Surgeon Urology
About the role
The Department of Surgery at Cooper University Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time urologist who has completed an accredited residency in Urology and whose primary focus is on the evaluation and management of common urologic conditions (general urology).
Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluation and office-based procedures in the outpatient clinic setting.
- Obtain operating room privileges for surgical procedures based upon experience.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in clinical research or education initiatives.
Requirements
- Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Urology.
- Recognized skills in the education of trainees, including but not limited to, Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows.
- Completed an accredited residency in Urology.
- Experience in general urology conditions, with a special emphasis on: Benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), Urinary stone disease, Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS).
- An exemplary track record of patient care and an active interest in clinical research or education.
- New Jersey medical license.
