Responsibilities
- Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
- Understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the surgeon's needs.
- Maintains knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
- Constantly monitors the sterile field to maintain aseptic conditions.
- Works in partnership with licensed staff members.
- Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a Certified Surgical Technologist and/or a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- A student currently enrolled in an Accredited Surgical Technologist program, in their last semester, and graduating within six months Required
- Or Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program without a hands-on clinical rotation.
Licenses and Certifications
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
