We repair small damage to surfaces like floors, countertops, bathtubs, cabinets, appliances, furniture, elevator panels — almost everything! Most repairs are simple and smaller than a dinner plate, yet our competition focuses on complete resurfacing. Our objective is a happy customer and a long-term relationship. We focus on saving our customers time, money, and wasted materials that end up in landfills. Our typical repair requires only 1 to 2 tablespoons of product, so our technicians can carry their entire set of tools and equipment in a small vehicle. Our approach is clean, free of odors, and completed in less than two hours.

About the Role

We are looking for individuals to fill our field technician role. Nearly anyone can become a great Surface Experts repair technician! Our services are unique, so part of your role is to educate and build trust with our customers. You don’t need an extensive background—if you are curious, teachable, and eager, we can coach you to be successful in the business. We are looking for someone who fits our culture of serving others, being a problem solver, and trusting the process.

Most repairs are simple, require creativity, and take about an hour. No two jobs are the same. As a Surface Experts technician, you’ll work with a variety of surfaces and materials, helping customers reduce waste by repairing rather than replacing.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site surface repairs for customers, including floors, countertops, bathtubs, cabinets, appliances, furniture, and more.
• Educate customers about our services and build trust through professional interactions.
• Use creativity and problem-solving skills to complete repairs efficiently.
• Work with a variety of materials, including plywood, particle board, melamine, thermo-foil, and solid wood.
• Maintain a clean, odor-free worksite and complete repairs in under two hours.

Requirements

• Experience working with your hands, whether in construction, cosmetology, manufacturing, art, or a hobby.
• Understanding of color and how to match color, texture, and finish.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Commitment to customer service and a strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail.

We will train and coach the technical skills necessary for restorations. For the cabinet maker role, experience in cabinetry or carpentry is preferred.
