Duties And Responsibilities
- Through our extensive in-house training program, (OJT) the successful applicant will be instructed via a series of computer based and hands-on training, the necessary skills of the position.
- Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Organize components staged in your department to support a more efficient schedule.
- Review router and operational sketches to identify the work to be performed.
- Gather and set up required tooling such as fixtures, gauges, and other items.
- Mask components as required to protect surfaces from subsequent operations.
- Trim masking using knives, razor blades, or other sharp tools.
- Trim masking in accordance with detailed work instructions to precise dimensions.
- Remove masking from components.
- Inspect work for completion and quality.
- Follow written work instructions accurately including engineered sketches and drawings.
- General housekeeping such as sweeping, organizing, and general cleanup.
Required Qualifications
- Careful attention to detail.
- Technical aptitude.
- The ability to learn to read and interpret shop drawings and diagrams.
- Capable of learning the use of measuring gages, such as micrometers and calipers and the understanding of basic shop math.
