IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening in our Greenwood Village, Colorado location. This role works with both contract and commercial surety in a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office collaboration Monday through Wednesday and remote work Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and account analysis of pertinent data, authority, and referral requirements for new, existing, and renewal business.
- Request and gather financial information on assigned accounts.
- Prepare bond renewals and determine whether bonds should be canceled.
- Maintain agency relationships and provide exceptional service and support.
- Underwrite low-value bonds and renewals as authorized.
- Provide direction to Bond Underwriting Assistants for bond processing.
- Deliver quality recommendations to Branch and Home Office Reports on assigned accounts and agents.
- Rate and review bonds for premium and classification accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of files, verifying all necessary documentation.
- Act as the primary service contact and visit agents to foster and maintain relationships.
- Communicate knowledge of assigned accounts to Branch and Home Office personnel via written and verbal means.
- Prioritize workflow to meet deadlines.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Mathematics, Business, or related field with at least 7 years’ experience in surety or equivalent (defined as 11 years of relevant finance experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Surety industry with thorough knowledge of industry practices.
- Ability to apply loss development and advanced loss analysis concepts to achieve optimal pricing of risk.
- Ability to creatively utilize reinsurance on individual risks to achieve company objectives.
- Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- AFSB industry designations.
- Experience with contract and commercial surety.
Pay
The annual gross salary range for this position is $120,000 to $170,000. Total compensation includes base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(k) match, and profit-sharing opportunities. Actual salaries vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location.

Schedule
Hybrid schedule: in-office Monday through Wednesday, remote Thursday and Friday.
