About the role
SAP IS-U Functional Architect to lead and oversee functional teams across key modules including Billing, Device & Field Management, FICA, Reporting & Analytics, BPEM, and SAP Technical Integration. The role requires strategic vision and hands-on expertise to guide end-to-end SAP CIS implementations within the Utilities sector.
Responsibilities
- Determine and implement strategy for the practice - where and how to compete and ensure operational discipline to enable practice growth
- Leverage internal and external channels to identify clients where our services may provide significant business value and help create multi-million-dollar relationships
- Create/identify multi-million-dollar opportunities within existing and new clients using visionary industry knowledge, intellectual capital, background in potential problem areas, knowledge of upcoming regulatory or market changes in order to create engagement opportunities
- Scale business growth with traditional business advisory and transformation services, and incubate new services that harness AI, Data & Digital capabilities, Estimate sales potential, identify key clients, identify collaboration opportunities with IBUs, actively lead pursuits and contribute to the business planning of the group
- Actively participate in defining the portfolio of projects within the Energy & Utility Practice
- Build and maintain professional relationships with senior and C-level client executives and expand professional network in client organizations
- Ability to speak on behalf of the client's best interests, and countering views of the client executives where appropriate
- Anchor new and existing client accounts, and interfacing on engagement-level client concerns
- Lead engagement planning, budgeting, resource mobilization and deliverable definition
- Participate directly in delivering engagements per scope and outcomes
- Lead project launch to ensure that the engagement starts smoothly
- Review engagement progress periodically with the team as well as with the client, appropriately intervene in critical situations, and guide the team to address critical issues to ensure that the client realizes the business value articulated at the time of the deal closure
- Actively participate in project governance including Steering Committee and Strategic Business Review sessions
- Build high morale and highly effective teams and position programs for success
- Develop practice service offerings, solutions, and methodologies
- Ensure appropriate tie-in with broader Infosys brand and competency groups
- Develop point of views (POVs) and speak at events such as Industry conferences, establishing self as an industry thought leader
- Author multiple articles that advance the quality of supply chain services
- Mentor others to actively publish in supply chain periodicals
Qualifications
- M.B.A or master’s in operations, Engineering, or equivalent advanced degree
- Big 4 or equivalent experience in a leadership capacity
- Minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP CIS implementations in the Utilities industry
- Expertise and understanding in SAP IS-U areas (at least expert in 2 modules): Billing, Device & Field Management, FICA, Reporting & Analytics, BPEM
- Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture and integration points
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to effectively resolve conflict and exercise mature judgement
- Able to work independently to drive towards performance targets including sales and utilization targets
- Strong oral and written communications skills, including presentation skills (development of the presentation and executive level presentation)
- Able to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in traditional and emerging SAP solutions and packages including S/4HANA
- Track record of thought leadership in Energy or Utility space, as expressed through publications, speaking engagements, conference presentations, etc.
- Strong network in Energy or Utility that can be leveraged to recruit additional talent
- Excellent client relationships at executive level, which can be leveraged to develop new business
- Demonstrable experience expanding services and revenue within a large strategic client
