Summary
Supervises the phlebotomy, order entry, and courier operations of the laboratory, including resource and personnel management.

- Judges what information is important and what should be communicated, how, to whom, and when.
- Enhances the laboratory's image by expending extra effort in being positive, friendly, and upbeat when dealing the physicians, nurses, patients, staff, supervisors, visitors, and other employees of the medical center.
- Exercises a leadership role in the project or event.
- Maintains technical proficiency in order to accurately perform tasks in areas under their supervision.
- Accepts special projects and completes them as assigned.
- Participates willingly or volunteers to participate in special projects or events.
- Monitors expenses, gathers data, reviews information, writes reports and memos, maintains ordering and inventory, performs employee evaluations, schedules employees, and completes any other project as assigned, in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
- High school graduate.
- Interacts effectively with peers, internal and external customers.
- Four years relevant experience.
- Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized agency.
