This position is in the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) under 10 USC 1599f and does not convey eligibility for conversion to the Competitive Service. It is a supervisory/management role at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure, supporting the mission of the US Cyber Command.

About the role

This position is located in the DISA - FE/Endpoint Services/Customer Support Division. The role involves first-level supervisory duties, directing a multi-functional branch of civilian, military, and contractor personnel.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and monitors administrative and managerial functions for day-to-day and long-range planning to provide responsive mission support.
• Advises senior leadership on manning, resource strategic planning, corporate governance, and business process improvement.
• Serves as the primary Strategic Communication Officer, directing and planning communication campaigns to convey complex programs to targeted audiences.
• Leads the development and continuous improvement of the directorate's internal digital platforms, SharePoint architecture, and web presence.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• This national security position requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

Qualifications

To qualify at the GG-14 level, your resume must describe at least one year of experience demonstrating the following competencies:

• Managing a multi-functional team.
• Advising senior leaders on strategic planning.
• Leading strategic communication campaigns and managing digital platforms for an organization.

Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-14 grade level.

• A three-year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
• This position is subject to a one-year probationary period for assignment to a supervisory position.
• Telework availability will be based on mission requirements and supervisory determination.
• Individuals tentatively selected may be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement.
• Moving costs may be paid.
• Recruitment, relocation, or retention incentives may be authorized.
• Employee may be subject to recall or call-back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management.
