Supv Clinic Operations - OB/GYN
PeaceHealth is seeking a Supervisor Clinic Operations - OBGYN for a full-time, 1.00 FTE, day position.
About the Role
Responsible for monitoring overall services, developing quality and performance indicators, gathering data for analysis, and ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources. This role includes staffing and scheduling, supervising daily activities, and focusing on operations and effective use of resources within an established budget. Responsibilities also encompass operational performance, including quality, service environment, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Integrate mission into day-to-day work and focus on meeting organization/departmental targets.
- Monitor budget variances and recommend or develop plans for improvement.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Recommend selection of staff, monitor and evaluate performance, and hold staff accountable.
- Evaluate competence and initiate performance improvement plans to develop staff; provide meaningful and constructive feedback.
- Work with leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to service delivery and department operations.
- Supervise assigned caregivers with full personnel action authority, including training, coaching, mentoring, and development.
- Ensure completion of mandatory training and in-services.
- Manage scheduling and time off for direct reports.
- Delegate work and projects within the team; adjust workflow to provide efficient and effective operations.
- Maintain alignment with patient experience and medical group strategic initiatives.
- Provide operational support with clinical processes, policies, procedures, and budget management.
- Assist with compliance to policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within the department and collaborate with internal and external customers, including patients, families, and visitors.
- Provide first-line problem solving for caregivers and patients regarding complaints, incident reporting, and immediate follow-up for issues or concerns.
- Support and carry out strategic and process improvement initiatives and projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business or Healthcare Management, or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.

Working Conditions
- Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work.
- Predominantly operates in an office environment with some time spent on-site in a medical/hospital setting.
- Requires close visual acuity for activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Pay
The salary range for this job opening is $31.60 – $47.40 per hour. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, and seniority.
