Suppression Technician

About the role

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Perform inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Comfortable using Smart Phone applications.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Suppression experience.
• Any Manufacturer certifications (e.g., ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem).

Pay

Hiring hourly range: $23–31. Hourly rate is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
