Suppression Service Technician
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid in the installation of piping, tubing, nozzles, detection lines, and releasing components for pre-engineered systems.
- Support inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) according to NFPA 17/17A/96 and manufacturer requirements.
- Assist with system functional tests and commissioning checks.
- Observe and document system layouts, component functions, and discharge sequences.
- Identify visible deficiencies and prepare tools, parts, and job sites for efficient execution.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in safe working condition.
- Ensure a clean and safe workspace; adhere to PPE and site requirements.
- Respond to service calls as directed.
- Use hand tools and testing equipment.
- Travel to job sites as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
- Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
- Stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.
Other Duties
- Adhere to Pye-Barker Fire & Safety policies, safety standards, and code of conduct.
Pay and Benefits
Pay: $23/hr - $29/hr (Depending on Experience)

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license, if driving role.
Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
