Supported Employment Assistant Supervisor
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking a caring and energetic Supported Employment Assistant Supervisor to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hattiesburg, MS. The position plays a vital role in providing assistance with daily activities, accompanying consumers on outings in the community, and supporting treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, and participate fully in their communities. Our eighteen-county service area includes Amite, Covington, Forrest, Franklin, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jeff Davis, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, and Wayne.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized training and follow-up support services to enhance stability and job retention.
- Assist with daily activities and accompany consumers on outings in the community.
- Support treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff.
- Act as models for appropriate behavior.
- Provide transportation to and from facilities and activities in the community.
- Perform other work-oriented tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Train participants in skills and conduct daily activities, training, and documentation for IDD day programs.
- Eat lunch on site with participants and take breaks on site.
- Help individuals learn skills for daily living appropriate to a home environment using pragmatic training techniques.
- Demonstrate the importance of community involvement, social interactions, and maintaining relationships.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Mississippi Driver's License with satisfactory driving record (no moving violations within 3 years).
- Must be able to obtain Class D license within 30 days of hire.
- Must pass CPR, MANDT, and other required testing.
- Experience working with the IDD population preferred.
- Experience assisting others with ADLs preferred.
