Support Tech, PACU (Ground FL)

Cleanliness and Services

• Cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and performs special projects as assigned.

Inventory and Supplies

• Inventories and restocks supplies on the unit.
• Obtains supplies and rental units.

Supporting Patients and Caregivers

• Provides support to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities.

Expanded Support Role

• Performs various tasks and duties to provide assistance and support in an expanded Support Tech role to the staff in Surgical Services.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience.
• One (1) of experience as a Support Technician or in another healthcare related position.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Prior Experience

• Preferred: Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
