Support Staff-Food Service Assistant (4.00 Hours/Day)

About the Role

This position is responsible for preparing or assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of a variety of foods in an elementary school food service program.

Location & Schedule

• East Lake Elementary School, 4001 Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, FL 34744
• Part-time, 4.00 hours per day

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of food items
• Cook and serve meals in a school food service program
• Follow oral and written instructions efficiently
• Work collaboratively with others
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment
• Use cleaning chemicals safely

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Some experience and knowledge of quantity food preparation and use of related equipment
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds (up to 55 pounds with assistance)
• Ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures (hot, non-air-conditioned environments, and freezers)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Pay

$16.71 per hour
