Support Staff-Food Service Assistant (4.00 Hours/Day)

Part-time position at Westside School K-8, Kissimmee (4.00 hours/day).

Job Description

These positions assume responsibility for preparing or assisting in preparation, cooking, and serving a variety of foods in an elementary or secondary school food service program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in preparing a variety of foods
• Cook and serve food in a school food service program
• Follow oral and written instructions efficiently
• Work well with others
• Lift and carry items or objects weighing up to 50 pounds (up to 55 pounds with assistance)
• Withstand a wide range of temperatures (hot, non-air-conditioned environment, and freezer)
• Stand for long periods of time
• Use cleaning chemicals
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Some experience and knowledge of quantity food preparation
• Familiarity with equipment used in quantity food preparation

Pay

$16.71 per hour
