About the role

The Ford Store San Leandro is seeking Cashiers, Greeters, Valets and Porters. We are looking for dynamic, service-oriented individuals who enjoy making people smile.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers dropping off vehicles for repairs.
• Deliver vehicles to sites and locations as required.
• Thoroughly clean (wash, vacuum and polish) and maintain vehicles.
• Install disposable covers and floor mats in vehicle interiors being serviced.
• Maintain tire pressure of vehicles; add air and fuel as needed.
• Prioritize vehicles that need to be prepped for delivery or washed based on general appearance.
• Maintain internal and external appearance and cleanliness of the store, showroom and lot.
• Take payments for products and services provided.
• Review and approve all check and credit card payments.
• Work with accounting department on discrepancies.
• Maintain all files and logs in a logical organization and process all paperwork.
• Expedite service at the cash register with promptness and accuracy.
• Display courtesy and promptness in handling all transactions.

Requirements

• At least one year of progressive work experience.
• A great attitude, an outgoing personality, a strong work ethic, and a proven record of results.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, and drive manual transmission.
• Team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced work environment.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid in-state driver's license.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Familiarity with computer systems and experience with retail sales is a plus.
• Ability to handle going from outside elements to inside air conditioning/heating.
• Sitting, standing, and walking on regular basis, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
• Lifting 25 to 50 lbs, reaching and lifting overhead.
